TikTok Creator Marketplace moved into TikTok One, but the Creator Marketplace name still appears in TikTok's tools and signup instructions. To join, start with your account's eligibility check. Registration, project eligibility and selection are different steps, and TikTok's own help pages publish different follower requirements. If your account cannot access projects, consider content-only brand briefs outside TikTok One rather than treating follower growth as your only next move.
Does TikTok Creator Marketplace still exist?
Yes, as an experience within TikTok One. TikTok describes migrating Creator Marketplace into TikTok One, and its Help Center still lists Creator Marketplace among TikTok One's tools. You can therefore encounter both names without having opened the wrong guide.
For a creator looking for brand work, the useful question is not which name to search. It is whether you can register, whether you meet a particular project's requirements, and whether you are accepted for that project. Keep those questions separate when reading advice about access.
This guide compares the published requirements rather than choosing the most appealing follower count. It also gives you a practical alternative: prepare samples for briefs that ask you to make a video, not necessarily publish it to your audience. That is a different kind of assignment, not a way around TikTok's eligibility rules.
What are the TikTok One requirements, and why do follower counts differ?
There is no single follower count we can responsibly present as the universal rule. TikTok's Business Help Center distinguishes registration from project participation. Its consumer Help Center publishes a different eligibility list. The table below keeps each statement attached to the page that makes it.
| Source and scope | Published requirements | What this does not establish |
|---|---|---|
| Business Help: creator registration | TikTok One must be available in your country or region. You must be at least 18 and comply with the Community Guidelines and Branded Content Policy. | The registration list does not state a follower minimum. That does not prove access for every account. |
| Business Help: project participation | At least 1,000 followers, plus other brand-defined requirements. Requirements vary by project and can change. | A published minimum is not a promise that a brand will choose you. |
| Consumer Help Center: TikTok One eligibility | An account in good standing. Age 18 or older, with a regional caveat. At least 10,000 followers, also with a regional caveat. At least 1,000 post views within the last 30 days. Publish 3 posts within the last 30 days. | The page does not explain why its follower requirement differs from Business Help's project requirement. |
The Business Help project guide says at least 1,000 followers; the consumer Help Center says at least 10,000, with a regional caveat. Neither page gives us a verified explanation that reconciles those statements. Do not assume the higher threshold is obsolete, or that the difference must be caused by your country or account type.
The absence of a follower minimum in the registration list is also not evidence that every creator can register with no followers. Read that list alongside the project note and your own account's eligibility screen, not as an exemption from them.

What should you do with conflicting advice? Open the eligibility check documented below, then read the requirements of the project you want to join. If a public guide and your account show different conditions, do not promise a brand that you have access based on the guide alone.
Even when the account lets you proceed, read the brief before applying. Eligibility answers whether you can take part; it does not answer whether the assignment suits your skills, schedule or agreed use of the video.
How do you join TikTok One?
Start in the TikTok app. The consumer Help Center documents this creator signup path:
- Open Profile.
- Tap Menu, then select TikTok Studio.
- Under Monetization, tap Creator Marketplace. You may need to scroll across or tap View all.
- Tap Check eligibility.
- If eligible, tap Join and follow the signup steps.
The Creator Marketplace label is part of those official instructions. You do not need to dismiss it because you expected the screen to say TikTok One.
TikTok's Business Help signup page also offers an official signup link or QR code, an in-app search for TikTok One, and an agency invitation link. Use that official page for the link or QR code rather than a copied image from an unrelated guide. An agency invitation is an alternative entry route, not a requirement in the registration list.
After registration, TikTok says you can add starting rates, contact information, languages and industries to your profile. Fill those fields accurately where offered. Treat starting rates as information you provide, not an estimate of what a project will pay you.
If Creator Marketplace or the Join control is missing, consult the official eligibility guidance and regional-availability requirement. This guide cannot diagnose an individual account or promise that another entry route will unlock it. Do not substitute an advertiser onboarding flow for the creator instructions, buy followers or misrepresent your location to pursue access.
How do you find and join a TikTok One project?
TikTok says you must register before you can see its projects and project details. Its project guide lists direct brand invitations, open applications and invite links for approving an existing video as routes into projects.
For an open application received through a system notification, TikTok documents this path: Inbox → System notifications → project notification → Explore. Open a project to review its details, including payment, then tap Apply and answer eligibility questions if asked. These are the documented notification steps, not a promise that every account has the same projects available.
Applying is not the same as being accepted. For open applications, TikTok says the advertiser or TikTok can choose whether to accept the creator; some cases use auto-acceptance. Once accepted, the collaboration page contains payment, contact information and video requirements.
For a direct invitation, TikTok says you can review payment details and choose Accept or Negotiate. Do not assume those controls appear in every application route.
Before you apply, our recommendation is to check the available payment details, creator requirements, deliverables and deadline. Before accepting, ask about anything still missing: who publishes, what advertising use is requested, how revisions work and what payment depends on.
Save the agreed brief and ask for written clarification if a request changes. That is a working habit, not a claim that every TikTok project uses the same contract or payment terms. A suitable brief should be understandable before you commit to making the video.
What should you do with fewer than 1,000 followers?
Consider content-only commissions outside TikTok One while you build honest samples. Do not interpret this as a promise of TikTok One project access. The follower bands below are an editorial decision aid derived from the published thresholds, not official access tiers.
- Start with your account. Check regional availability and the eligibility screen, whatever your follower count.
- Under 1,000 followers: you are below Business Help's stated project follower minimum. Explore suitable content-only briefs outside TikTok One and prepare portfolio samples.
- 1,000–9,999 followers: you meet Business Help's stated project follower minimum, but the consumer Help Center still lists 10,000 with a regional caveat. Check your account and each project's requirements; do not assume access.
- 10,000 followers or more: do not stop at the follower count. Check account standing, age, region, activity and project requirements. Selection is still a separate step.
- At any follower count: you can explore content-only work outside TikTok One. Check each brief or marketplace's rules rather than assuming it accepts every applicant.

The distinction is what the brand is buying. Filming and delivering a video file, publishing a post to your audience, and authorizing advertising use are separate requests. A brief may combine them, so ask rather than assume.
As a vendor explanation, JoinBrands describes UGC work as brands buying content rather than audience reach, and says these creators do not need a large following. That supports considering this work model. It does not establish universal admission to JoinBrands, any other marketplace or TikTok One.
Try this practice-to-pitch exercise. These are suggestions, not platform requirements:
- Choose a product you already use and can discuss from experience.
- Film a demonstration and a separate sample answering a buying question you can answer honestly.
- Label the samples as self-directed spec work, not paid client assignments.
- Put them in a public portfolio with a short explanation of what you made.
- Apply to relevant content-only briefs or send a specific pitch after checking the requested deliverables.
Illustrative pitch, not an actual client message:
I make product demonstration videos and have linked a self-directed sample. Does your brief need a delivered video file, a post on my account, or both? I'd also like to confirm any paid-ad use before quoting.
For the next step, build a UGC portfolio with no client experience, follow the longer guide to start making UGC without a following, or compare UGC platforms for creators. Check each destination's current rules before applying. Samples demonstrate your work; they do not guarantee a reply or a commission.
What should you check before accepting a brand-video brief?
Clarify the file, the post and the advertising permission separately. Use this editorial checklist before agreeing, whether the opportunity comes through TikTok One or elsewhere:
- File delivery: where should the finished file go, and in what format?
- Publishing: must you post it, and on whose account?
- Advertising: will your handle or identity appear in ads? What uses, permissions and duration are requested?
- Scope: what are the deliverables, deadline, revisions and acceptance criteria?
- Payment: what is agreed, and what must happen before payment is due?
- Honesty and disclosure: can you support the product claims, and how will paid or gifted connections be disclosed where required?

For US-facing endorsements, FTC guidance says to make material brand connections clear, including payment or free or discounted products. It says video disclosures should appear in the video, not only in its description, and you cannot describe an experience with a product you have not tried. A spec-work label is not a substitute for a required relationship disclosure. This is US guidance, not a worldwide legal checklist.
If the brief includes posting, you can also use your audience's activity to plan TikTok posting times. Treat that as publishing preparation, not an eligibility workaround.
Where does Myah fit if you want to make videos for brands?
Myah is a separate option to consider, not a TikTok One workaround. Myah is in early access and is not open to everyone yet.
Myah's described workflow has brands post paid video campaigns with a brief and pay, then review creator portfolios and applications. The brand page explains that brands download approved videos and launch ads in their own Meta Ads Manager; Myah does not launch ads for them. Myah does not do TikTok ads yet.
If that direction fits the work you want to make, Join creator early access. Do not treat signing up as a guarantee of acceptance, available campaigns or earnings.
