UGC rates vs influencer rates
With UGC, you are paid for the video and the brand posts it. As an influencer, you also post it to your own audience, so your audience size adds to the fee. Typical sponsored-post fees by audience size:
| Followers | Instagram Reel | TikTok video |
|---|---|---|
| 5,000 | $90–$270 | $100–$300 |
| 25,000 | $230–$640 | $250–$700 |
| 100,000 | $600–$1,600 | $660–$1,750 |
| 500,000 | $3,000–$9,000 | $3,300–$9,900 |
Fees rise with your audience, but more slowly than your follower count. On smaller accounts, the video itself is often worth more than the post, so price it with the calculator above.
YouTube sponsors usually price on views instead: about $20–$60 per 1,000 average views. Ad usage, exclusivity and other terms are added on top, the same as for UGC.
What changes a UGC rate
Your experience
Your first few brand videos usually sit at the lower end. Rates rise as your portfolio and repeat clients grow.
Paid-ad usage
Posting on the brand’s own channels is usually included. Running your video as a paid ad is a separate licence, priced by how long it runs.
Ads from your account
Partnership Ads put your name on the ad. That is more than usage rights, so it is priced on top, per period.
Extras
Raw footage, extra hooks, exclusivity and a fast turnaround all add work or limit you, so each adds to the fee.
Common questions
How much should I charge for my first UGC video?
Start from a modest fee for one short, edited video that the brand can post on its own channels, then add for paid ads and other terms. Choose 0–5 videos delivered in the calculator to see a starting range, and raise it as your portfolio grows.
Should I charge more if a brand runs my video as an ad?
Yes. Organic use on the brand’s channels is usually included, but paid-ad use is a separate licence. Agree how long the brand can run it, and charge more for longer periods or a buyout.
What is the difference between usage rights and Partnership Ads?
Usage rights cover what the brand can do with your video. Partnership Ads let the brand run ads from your account, with your name on them. They are separate permissions, so price them separately.
Does my follower count matter for UGC?
Not much. With UGC you are paid for the video, and the brand posts it or runs it as an ad. Your following matters more when a brand also wants you to post it on your own account, which is a different kind of deal.
Can I use this as an influencer rate calculator?
Yes, as a starting point. The calculator prices the content, which is the same work whether or not you post it. If you also post it on your own account, compare it with the typical sponsored-post fees by audience size above and quote the higher of the two, plus the same extras.
Are these rates guaranteed?
No. They are estimates based on typical 2026 market rates, rounded to whole dollars. Real offers depend on the brand, the brief and how much work is involved.
